You start aging from the minute you are born, your body endures many changes during it's early development towards full adulthood. As you reach young adolescence, however the body experiences a series of senescence, or abnormal body changes due to its aging.

Almost before you have passed childhood your body is already beginning to age. Initially these changes will be so subtle they will be barely noticeable but they are start of the body slowly aging.

The musculoskeletal system is the first area that most age related diseases and illnesses start. For this reason once, a person turns 35 years of age regardless of their activities, athletic nature, they become more likely to be effected by aging. Still it is possible to reduce such age related diseases and ilnesses by avoiding injuries to the muscles and joints, and living a healthy life.

You can do this by avoiding accidents when possible, abuse, excessive alcohol, drugs, tobacco and other unhealthy habits. You can improve your health by exercising, eating a healthy diet, socializing with positive people, and avoiding environmental toxins.

Keeping your doctor aware of any early changes in your well being is important as you get older and I encourage regular medical check ups as a good idea for most people. Make sure when discussing your health you make your doctors fully aware of any known family health issues so that preventative measures can be put in place early to prevent premature aging or worse.

As noted earlier, our body starts to deteriorate due to aging by age 35, also our sensory organs may also start to take a rain check. At this time, the eyes may become affected and you might find it difficult to focus on objects up close. In medical terms, this condition is known as presbyopia.

We should not be shocked at the number of people under 35 who need to wear aids for their vision either contact lenses (the choice of many) and glasses. By the time you get to age 40 there is around a one in five chance you will be wearing glasses or contact lenses. Currently around 90 million people over 40 suffer from presbyopia in the US today. A figure which is increasing year on year.

In addition to failing eyes sight you may start to experience a loss of hearing. It is certainly not unknown for you to start experiencing signs of hearing loss or even deafness after age 40. This is a condition refered to as presbycusis another sign of aging. An example of how this might effect you might be changes in musical taste from hard rock to more mellow music.

Or if you enjoyed rock concerts when you were younger, and now find that you do not enjoy concerts at all, it is because your hearing has significantly changed, which means the high-pitch of hearing has been affected, which has slowly reduced the lower hearing tone. When hearing becomes impaired, it often seems like those talking are inarticulate or you are missing words here and there.

As the hearing is weakend, you will start to hear speech differently. For instance, the use of K may sound distorted, which affects comprehension and understanding. In other words, a older person may hear the CH in a word, such as Chute Up, and think that someone is telling them to shut-up.

The CH sounds different. It is possible to help people with hearing problems or partial deafness in a number of ways by using hearing aids or other assistive listening devices. In addition it helps to face the person you are talking to and maybe use body language or hand gestures to assist in any explanation or conversation. Also speak clearly and more slowly.

It goes with out saying some wear and tear and breakdown of the body are expected as it get older and would be seen by most as healthy aging. But all to common today are those un healthy signs of aging such as cancer caused by smoking or even passive smoking.

As you grow older your, weight changes as well, more so if you have a family history of obesity. Your body fat starts to change up to 30% by the time you reach age 40. These and other changes of aging affect the body noticably more around this age as it is usually about this age wrinkles start appearing and more other natural aging signs occur.
