Abortion

Definition

Abortion means ending a pregnancy so that it does not result in the birth of a child. If a woman thinks she is pregnant but hasn't had a pregnancy test done, she needs to do so as soon as possible. Feelings of helplessness or isolation

Treatment

In the event of spontaneous abortion, the tissue passed from the vagina should be examined to determine the source of the tissue (fetal vs. hydatidiform mole) and if any fetal tissue remains in the uterus (incomplete abortion).
